What's up, guys? Welcome back to another Security Halt Podcast Resource Monday. Today I'm bringing you something amazing. I talked about this program before when it was first coming out. The first cohort is complete and done, and it's gotten a lot of rave reviews from the participants. And now it's back for round two. That's uh the Warrior Rising Virginia Tech Boeing Center for Veteran Transition and Military Families Activator Program. That is a mouthful, but again, this is a collaborative effort from Warrior Rising and Virginia Tech's Boeing Center for Veterans Transition and Military Families. Now, this program is created specifically for the veteran or service member spouse that is creating a new and ingenuitive app service as a software, something in the tech space, a dual-use solution. Now, there's tons of you out there, and I've gotten some of your apps before to check out and review. Um, talking about my buddies right now with their new app. I won't spoil it, but I'm gonna send it directly to you guys. But anybody out there in the space, it's a veteran or a spouse, um, if you're out there building something in tech space and you need a little bit of help, you need some extra coaching, you need some guidance, you need some clarity in the process,

Why Veteran Tech Founders Need Help

this is the perfect opportunity. But it's not gonna last forever. This cohort starts June 30th, and applications have to be submitted by June 27th. So that's this week. That's why I'm highlighting it today because I think it's important. Last time we did this with Warrior Rising, uh, the applicants shot through the roof really fast uh last week. And after talking to some of the participants of the course, it was nothing but life change, and nothing other than life changing for these individuals. Look, the tech space is complicated. Building an app or services software is not easy. I don't know anything about that because that's not my lane. But when I started talking to guys like um the creator of Hots and Cots and some of my other buddies have dove in that space, um, it's easy to think that these devices and the apps that go in it or any software, it's easy to build out. But come to find out, a lot of times it's large development teams with unlimited resources and funding. And that's something a lot of our veterans don't have. So if you're in that space, if you're an underdog and you need help, this is the program for you. I'm gonna make it super easy. So they're all putting, I'll put in that link there as well. And as always, you know I'm gonna do a blog post about this. And look, if you're a veteran entrepreneur out there and you feel like you're alone, trust me, you're not. There's thousands of us, hundreds of thousands of us out there building our own little things. I'm living proof that you can do it on your own. I am proud to say I'm a dog shit entrepreneur, and I say that jokingly, but yeah, there's something to the grit and determination that it takes to build something on your own. I never thought Security Haunt Media would be where I'm at right now. Um it's it's important to bet on yourself. It's important to dream. And today, it's you know, the Monday after Father's Day. The most important thing as a provider is being able to look at what you're doing to put foot on the table, but to give your kid that best opportunity for the American dream. And it's not lost on me that going this route's been difficult. It hasn't been easy, but it's been like I always tell people, I've I've followed my dream, I followed my heart, and that's led me to this. I'll continue doing it. And I do enjoy the fact that I've done this on my own, but I'll tell you what, here pretty soon I'll be signing up for another program. I completed my master's this uh this year, but I'm ready to dive into the business world a little bit deeper because there's a lot of things that are unknown, a lot of things that I can improve on.
